Dosage & Administration:

Tablet:

0.5 mg taken three times daily after meals.
Dosage may be adjusted based on the patient's age and severity of symptoms.

Interaction:

Certain drugs, including neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, histamine H2-antagonists, omeprazole, and colchicine can reduce the absorption of vitamin B12. Oral contraceptives may lower serum concentrations. These interactions should be considered when measuring blood levels.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Mecobalamin or any component of the formulation.

Side Effects:

Dermatologic: Rash (discontinue use if this occurs).
Gastrointestinal: Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Neurologic: Headache.
Others:
- Anaphylactoid reactions (e.g., decreased blood pressure or dyspnea) may occur. Treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.
- Hot sensation, diaphoresis, and pain/induration at the injection site.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
